Heritage and sites of interest

Nestled in the forest, ringed by a majestic cliff. Marked walking trails allow you to reach the ridge and enjoy a breathtaking view.

At 500 metres (1,640 feet) above sea level, Eyzahut, a small village sheltered by a mountain to the south, is home to 135 inhabitants and looks west over the Rhône valley towards the Cévennes and the Ardèche. Several hiking trails start at the village hall. Eyzahut is located on the GRP of Pays de Dieulefit, a long-distance trail for hiking, biking or horse riding.

In July and August, the village swimming pool (which is accessible for people with disabilities) attracts many visitors. Its three pools are filled with spring water. The village campsite welcomes tents, RVs and caravans under the shade of hundred-years old chestnut trees. Other leisure activities include a tennis court next to the miniature village, a ping-pong table, and a badminton/volleyball court. There are picnic areas in front of the tennis court and near the pool.

The secret charm of Eyzahut lies in its bucolic tranquillity, its lush nature and the warm welcome that locals offer to visitors.

Don't miss

Le Trou du Furet, the miniature village at the bottom of the cliff.
